Built From Scratch
Ed started Airdrop from scratch, designing the bikes in his spare room and building them in the garage. It was the realisation of a long-held dream, but with no background in the industry, it was a big challenge. And it means we're coming from a place quite different to everyone else.
Fully Independent
Very few bike brands are genuinely independent. The big brands are mostly venture-capital backed, or belong to the Globex Corporation™. Then there are brands that belong to big distributors or are retailer own-brands. Airdrop is none of those. We're completely self funded and we have nobody telling us what to do.
Designed In House
We design and develop all our bikes ourselves. Everything we know about bikes we've learned the hard way. But we wouldn't have it any other way; these are our bikes in a very real sense.
Tested In Sheffield
These are the bikes that we ride ourselves, day-in, day-out. We know them intimately and we've put every aspect of their design and performance to the test. When you live with something every day, you get to know it pretty well.
Built To Order
We use one of the very best factories in Taiwan to fabricate our frames in small batches. Each one is then built to order by hand in our Sheffield workshop. When you come to us for a bike, you're working directly with the people that design, test and build the bikes; you couldn't get that just anywhere.

Ed is the owner of Airdrop Bikes. A former web and graphic designer, he sacked off his job one day and decided to start up a bike brand.
