After his immense DH World Champs win in 2016, Danny Hart took ownership of the Descend Bikepark in Hamsterley. Now he's teamed up with Descent-World to challenge all comers to put down a time on the Mainline trail.
Airdrop rider, pro trials ace and all-round pinner Brett Penfold (remember Brett's Bike?) has smashed out a 1:20 putting him in second place, just behind "the ninja". On a 150mm Airdrop Edit.
Watch his POV run here. It's quick.
The best bit is that Brett's run puts him just 2 seconds behind "the ninja" on a world-cup winning bike, the Santa Cruz V10. And 5 seconds back from Brett you've got DH racer Marky Neal on a world cup winning Mondraker Summum. Not a bad effort from Brett if you ask me.
Think you can go quicker on your Edit? Hotlaps is open to all comers, so get yourself up to Hamsterley and give it a go. If you can beat Brett's time, we want to hear about it...
Ed is the owner of Airdrop Bikes. A former web and graphic designer, he sacked off his job one day and decided to start up a bike brand.
