We're closed for Xmas week - back on 30th Dec!

A normal day for Airdrop starts at around 6am when the factory decides it's time for us to wake up, and starts sending Skype messages (it's mid afternoon in Taiwan). This morning was all good news, however. We have confirmation that the Edit frames are in the paint shop and the primer coats are going on now.
That's not the only good news. When we ordered the last round of prototypes we went all-out and made one of them the loudest orange we could find. Just to see what would happen. Of course that's the one we ended up shooting a lot of pictures of, and you can see them all over the site. But when the day came to specify paint schemes to the factory, we bottled it. We went for raw - because it looked so rad when we built it up, and charcoal grey - because we wanted a stealth option. Cue dozens of messages from customers saying "I'd have bought one if it was orange". So we weren't going to let people down, and we twisted the factory's arm into changing the paint schemes. We can now confirm that the Edit will be available in orange!
In fact we want to go one further and detail what the final colour schemes will be, because there have been some changes since the photography was done for the site (photographs will be updated asap). The main change is that the black rear triangles are gone, to be replaced with either colour or raw. We found that we loved the quality and finish from the coloured paints but not the black so much, so it had to go. Plus when we rendered it up on the computer, the rear triangles in raw, grey and orange looked amazing:
So the colours that will be available will be as follows:
Orange: bright orange front and rear triangles with gloss clearcoat, black rocker link and black dropouts.
Grey: charcoal grey front and rear triangles with gloss clearcoat, black rocker link and black dropouts.
Raw: raw alloy front and rear triangles with gloss clearcoat, black rocker link and black dropouts.
Remember that we produce all our decals in-house, so you can choose from a range of 12 colours for your decals. They all work really well on the raw and grey frames, but for now the site only offers black and white decals on the orange frames. If you really really want an orange frame with purple decals, just drop us and email and we can make it happen!

I’m glad you stuck with the orange in the end, it looks awesome. Changing the rear triangle from black is a good move as well, the bikes will look rad. Can’t wait to the see the new photos up on the site.
